The Novi (Mich.) Boat Show wrapped up a four-day run at the Suburban Collection Showplace last Sunday with a 17 percent increase in attendance.
Organizers said attendance was 14,318 and exhibitors reported positive sales as spring nears.
“The Novi Boat Show is the last boat show in Michigan for the winter season and typically has a very strong buying demographic. The sense of urgency comes as boaters realize spring launch is right around the corner,” show manager Nicki Polan said in a statement.
“This year’s early mild weather has created real excitement. New features, performance innovations and continued economic stability have helped to fuel boat sales in Michigan for a sixth consecutive year of growth.”
The show is produced by the Michigan Boating Industries Association. At 235,000 square feet of exhibition space, it was sold out.
“This year’s Novi Boat Show was our most successful yet! The attendance was great throughout the show,” Aqua Sports president Jeff Nichols said. “Sunday, which is usually one of the slower days, was very busy from start to finish.”
The 2018 Novi show will be held March 15-18 at the Suburban Collection Showplace.
