Ferretti Yachts said it is returning to the under-50-foot range with a new flybridge yacht that will be on display at the Sept. 6-11 Cannes Yachting Festival.
The Ferretti Yachts 450 resulted from a collaboration among the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee, the group’s engineering department and the Zuccon International Project, which handled exterior and interior design.
The flybridge has three decks and furnishings that the engineering department’s interior designers developed. The main deck features a stern swimming platform and a tender lift. The cockpit has an aft sofa and a wooden table. The lower deck of the first unit has a three-cabin layout that Ferretti said sleeps as many as six and features a full-beam master suite.
The sundeck is divided into a dining area with a central table and bar unit at the stern and a central outside pilot station.
The 450 is fitted with a pair of Cummins QSB 6.7 engines. The owner can choose from two versions — 425 Mhp or 480 Mhp. The latter option will give the new yacht a cruising speed of 27 knots and a maximum speed of 31 knots.
