Spears CPVC Pipe Fitting, Union with EPDM O-Ring, Schedule 80, Socket

This Spears schedule 80 CPVC union fitting has socket openings on both ends, and is suitable for connecting two pipes. The socket ends connect to pipes with a smooth bore for enhanced flow. The fitting has three pieces and includes a threaded connection that can be screwed or unscrewed to connect or disconnect pipes more easily than with couplings. It is made of medium gray CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) for chemical and corrosion resistance, high strength, and better resistance to high temperatures and pressures than PVC (polyvinyl chloride), making it suitable for both hot and cold water pressure distribution systems in residential and commercial applications. It has an EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) seal for resistance to oil, water, and some solvents. CPVC can be connected to other materials, such as steel or copper, using transition fittings.
