This Spears schedule 80 CPVC Class 150 Van Stone flange fitting has a spigot connection and is suitable for joining two pipes or valves in a piping system or attaching a pipe to a flat surface or flange. The spigot connection has the same diameter as the pipe it connects to, minimizing turbulence and creating a tight seal, and the bolt ring on the Van Stone flange rotates independently of the hub to aid in bolt alignment during installation. This flange fitting is made of medium gray CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) for chemical and corrosion resistance, high strength, and better resistance to high temperatures and pressures than PVC (polyvinyl chloride), making it suitable for both hot and cold water pressure distribution systems in residential and commercial applications. CPVC can be connected to other materials, such as steel or copper, using transition fittings. The fitting has a maximum operating temperature of 200 degrees F and a maximum pressure rating of 150 pounds per square inch (psi) at 73 degrees F. It meets ASTM International D1784 and F439 standards for quality assurance, is certified by National Sanitation Foundation International (NSF) for potable water service, is American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Type Approved for marine and offshore applications, and has a Class 150 bolt pattern per American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standard B16.5. This schedule 80 CPVC Class 150 Van Stone flange fitting is suitable for use in piping systems that convey drinking water, waste water, chemicals, and other liquids in a range of industries.

Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).

Spears Manufacturing produces thermoplastic fittings and valves for fluid, drain, waste, and vent systems. The company, founded in 1969 and headquartered in Sylmar, CA, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001.
